Norris & Mary's Wedding

In August, Coronation Street viewers watched Norris and Mary tie the knot in an enchanting wedding. One of our expert florists, Lynette from 'Designer Flowers by Rodgers' in Manchester worked with Coronation Street's Director and Design teams to create bespoke arrangements for their wedding flowers.

Kieran Roberts, Creative Director of Coronation Street commented, "Weddings have been at the heart of so many great Coronation Street stories and Norris and Mary's is no exception. The couple's big day had to look just right on screen so we were delighted to have our official flower partner Interflora working with our creative teams to help deliver another unforgettable Coronation Street wedding."

Nickie Lister, Director of Norris and Mary's wedding added, "I worked with the Coronation Street Design teams to illustrate the look and feel I wanted. This involved Make up, Costume, and Design. They in turn then worked with Interflora to select the final bouquets. We loved how Interflora were able to add personal touches by changing the roses in the bouquet and adding the beautiful fresh forget-me-nots in headdress. These forget-me-nots were an inspired choice as these were the flowers Mary left with her baby Jude when she put him up for adoption."

Lynette Nevitt of Designer Flowers by Rodgers was delighted to be part of this experience, "It was an absolute pleasure to be involved in designing and creating the bridal flowers for Norris and Mary's big day on Coronation Street on behalf of Interflora. We spoke at length with the creators and art directors at Coronation Street about what Mary's vision was for her bouquet and headdress, and were delighted to be able to source the forget-me-nots which were out of season, as we understood how important it was for the character."
