Cocktails are a sure-fire way to make an evening feel special. The key is in the prep, make sure you have some kit and ingredients and then set up a little cocktail area. If you like a little healthy competition mixed in with your romance, then a games night is a great choice. Gather a stash of cards and games made for two, and by the time the evening is through you might both be masters of the deck – remember us when you win big in Vegas!

Stuck for Valentine’s meal ideas? The first place to start is with what they love. What’s their favourite dish or cuisine? Or is there a meal that has special significance for you both? Build your menu around memories and they’ll love it. And try not to stress about getting it perfect, you’re likely not a chef but that doesn’t matter – it’s all about the thought.
