Our Interflora Florists

Interflora is built on more than just 100 years of experience, it’s built on hundreds of years of combined floristry expertise across a dedicated network of over 900 florists. Florists with heritage, a story to tell and legacy to uphold, florists working within their local community to help it thrive and florists with their own individual floristry style. But most importantly, florists with the same goal of wrapping up your sentiments in a beautiful handmade bespoke bouquet and delivering it personally to your special person with care.

February Florist of the Month - Herbarium, Aldridge

Mike & Sue Soles did the flowers for their very first wedding 41 years ago - it was their own wedding! It was the 1970’s and flower power was rife, but Sue had a vision for something more simple and uncluttered. Mike, handily working in horticulture at the time, managed to procure some lovely seasonal foliage and created stylish minimalist arrangements for their big day.

On return from their honeymoon their Minister passed them an almost full order book for wedding flowers and the rest is history. It has now been 30 years since Herbarium opened, and they are still bouncing off each other, Mike says: “we’ve got the same brain, which is good, we know what each other is thinking.” Sue is the visionary and will interview the brides to get a feel for their floral vibe, and Mike translates it into flowers, that’s their unwritten love language, and proof that business and pleasure can co-exist when you love what you do and each other enough.

How many stems will you pick?

Mike plans to send Sue 30 because they’ve been open for 30 years, or 41 because they’ve been married for 41 years - Sue definitely wants 41!

Our Florist FAQs

Re-cut the stems at an angle, they get an air-lock so quickly, especially roses, once it’s out of water that end will seal up and the head will droop - cut that end!

- Jodie, Flowers By Zoe

From a one week work experience placement to a full time job, I love it and get up to run work every Monday! In that week, it changed my life, it was like my calling! I loved being surrounded by flowers everyday and being able to create for customers and make them happy. Being able to create something beautiful for someone, for a loved one, it means a lot to me, I’ve grown as a person, it’s made me who I am today.

- Celina, Flowergirl

It’s personal, something different to the run of the mill, taking in a little of my crazy personality.

- Michelle Grainger, Michelle’s Flowers Ltd.

I like that it’s got peaks and troughs, I love Valentine’s, Mother’s Day, Christmas where we work the long hours with the high level of orders coming in, then you get the nice settle down, then you get the wedding season.

- Stephanie, Pickerings Florist

Every day is different and flowers change week to week throughout the year. The seasonality of it is great and all the different celebrations we get to do throughout the year.

- Andrew, Williamson’s My Florist

It’s not just about floristry, it’s about imagination and making it work.

- Sarah, Florabunda

We cater for all sorts of occasions from the happiest ones to the saddest ones. Floristry has made me see funerals differently, and I feel that being able to do something special and unique for somebody that represents that persons character is actually quite a gift.

- Jonathon, Pavillion Flowers

I like pressure, I like the big weddings, I like the end achievements, the big designs, that bit of stress, I thrive on that.
