Christmas Wedding Flowers Inspiration
There’s a certain romance about Christmas: the twinkling lights, the soft gleam of candles, a cosy fire. While summer is the usual time for tying the knot, we’re big fans of embracing the warm glow a winter wedding can offer. And the best part is there lots of gorgeous blooms to make the occasion even more beautiful, we’ve put together a few of our favourites for any couples looking for inspiration.

Go classic
Choose an on trend table runner
Just because it’s Christmas doesn’t mean you have to stick to reds, greens and golds. Instead you can embrace the drama and beauty of the season, instead of it’s colours. We love this table runner (a firm favourite at weddings) created from densely packed roses, bouvardia, freesia, astrantia and carnations and then cleverly graded from deepest red to pink, cream and back again to create an on-trend ombré effect. Even the candles, a seasonal must-have, and scattering of rose petals mirror the colours of the arrangement.

Try winter jewels
We love a jewel colour scheme, the rich colours are so opulent. This intricate shower bouquet works in harmony with the beading detail on the bride’s dress and features cerise pink and lilac roses as the dominant flowers. Glossy green ivy leaves, silver cones and the inclusion of hellebores are gently hint at the festive season. (p.s. Embrace seasonal style
Just because you’re a winter bride, it doesn’t mean you have to give up on your dream of wearing flowers in your hair on your wedding day. Make it work for the season by combining crisp white flowers with little luxe details. Hints of copper give this head-turning design instant drama. Delight in winter tones
Use fresh festive foliage
Designed with the Christmas bride in mind, these gorgeous wedding cake flowers include luxurious red roses, pink spray roses and seasonal foliage such as fir, holly and red hypericum berries. The greenery has a touch of glitter in another nod to the season and looks especially lush against the crisp white icing.

Use festive shapes
These pretty pomanders look a little like baubles, offering a lovely subtle hint of Christmas. Roses, hellebores and hydrangeas meet holly, pine and silver cones to create a beautiful ball of blooms in fresh colours. A lovely choice for bridesmaids, after they’re carried down the aisle they can be strung up to add to the wedding décor.

Hopefully you’re now feeling the perfect combination of merry and romantic, all ready to choose some fabulous festive flowers for the big day. Don’t forget one of our amazing florists is always on hand to help.
